“As District Attorney, I go to work daily to pursue justice and protect the peoples’ rights.”

As a lifelong Taos resident, I’ve devoted my career to improving our community. From a young age, I wanted to be a prosecutor so that I could make a difference- both in terms of keeping the 8th Judicial District safe and ensuring equal justice for all. During my time as a prosecutor, my life experience in Taos has guided my work in the 8th Judicial District Attorney’s office.

I’m proud of the work I’ve done, especially the innovative and progressive reforms that I helped implement. Reforms that kept the 8th Judicial District safe, while building better community relations, restoring trust in the DA’s office, and steering young people toward better paths. We’ve made great progress, but there is more work to do.

It has been my honor to serve as the District Attorney since August, and it would be a privilege to continue the important work we’ve started. My goal is to create a statewide model for what an effective and progressive prosecutor’s office looks like.

Keeping the 8th Judicial District safe and reforming our criminal justice system is my life’s work. With your support, we can achieve these important goals together.
